Aircraft Entry Requirements

Permission

1. Private aircraft overflying or landing for noncommercial purposes need not obtain prior permission; however, a flight plan must be on file.

2. Nonscheduled commercial aircraft overflying or landing for commercial or noncommercial purposes must obtain prior permission from the Director-General of Civil Aviation, Mercedes 1260, Montevideo, Uruguay (Telegraphic Address: AEROCIVIL MONTEVIDEO; Telex: DIRACIV UY22631; Fax:598-2-905652) at least 24 hours prior to entry into Uruguayan airspace.

3. All requests must include:

a. Aircraft type, registration marks, and nationality.

b. Full name of aircraft, full name, address and telephone/telex/fax number of owner, full name of crew members, including types of licenses held by latter.

c. Purpose of flight.

d. Number of passengers.

e. Point of departure and destination.

f. Date and time of entry into Uruguayan airspace and places and times of landing, if landing.

g. Complete route of flight.

h. Aircraft radio call and frequencies available.

i. Type and amount of cargo. All flight authorizations granted will expire 15 days after the date of authorization.

Corporate Aircraft Constraints

None reported.

Special Notices

Buenos Aires, Aeroparque Airport, Argentina, may be used as an airport of origin for flights to Uruguay, subject to the operational limitations established for flights to and from that airport by the Argentine authorities.
