Tina Amereihn became the Administration's Deputy Assistant Administrator for Information Services and Chief Information Officer (CIO) within the Office of Finance and Management (AFN) in May 2012. In this role, Tina provides leadership to the IT enterprise and has day to day responsibility for all IT aspects including information delivery, infrastructure, operations, security, privacy, innovation, business partnership management, and performance management. Tina is leading the effort to transform FAA's IT enterprise into a single IT shared service organization.
In 1983, Tina began her employment with the FAA as a GS-3 program analyst in a temporary summer position. Throughout the years, Tina worked as a computer specialist in many lines of business, in both field and headquarters positions, working her way up through management. Prior to accepting FAA's CIO position, Tina served as the Acting Assistant Administrator for Human Resource Management. Prior to that position, she was the Director of the Quality, Integration and Executive Services (AQS) within the Aviation Safety (AVS) organization. AQS had oversight for the implementation and recertification of their ISO-9000-based quality management system as well as the overall budget, training, IT, and staffing needs for AVS. Prior to accepting the AQS Director position, Tina was the CIO of the AVS organization.
Tina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Towson State. She earned her Master's degree in Information System Technology from George Washington University.
