The Office of the Regional Counsel is responsible for providing legal assistance and counsel to the offices and divisions in the FAA's Southern region. The attorneys in the Regional Counsel's Office provide assistance, and representation, as necessary, in procurement, FOIA / Privacy Act, environmental, regulatory interpretation, tort claims, personnel, and other more generalized matters. The attorneys in the office also represent the FAA in certificate action and civil penalty enforcement proceedings.
