The Office of the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Information Services and Chief Information Officer (AIO)(CIO), part of AFN, is a key player in the leadership and management of the Agency�s multibillion dollar information technology (IT) enterprise. The CIO, overseeing the IT Shared Services (ITSS) organization, has purview over and establishes policy and guidance in areas such as:

• IT capital planning and portfolio services
• Process engineering
• Directives, forms, and records management
• Cyber security and privacy compliance, governance, incident response, operations, and training
• IT cost control
• IT infrastructure, applications, and architecture;
• Video conferencing
• Web operations
• Research and development

Leveraging resources and facilitating partnerships with internal and external stakeholders are chief components in achieving success.
