Bio

Manager of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Air Transportation System Evaluation Branch, Michael Greco, is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from Temple University and a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Currently responsible for the verification, evaluation, and analysis of National Airspace System (NAS) separation standards, navigation system performance, and communication systems. From 2007-2011 was the manager of the FAA's Test and Evaluation Services Group responsible for the test and evaluation of communication, navigation, surveillance, terminal, en route, flight service, and traffic flow management systems for the NAS. From 2003 to 2007 was the manager of the FAA's Laboratory Services Group responsible for the engineering, maintenance, and operation of the air traffic automation laboratories located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. From 1999 to 2003 was the manager of the FAA's air traffic services Weather and Flight Service Systems field support and second level engineering team responsible for the engineering and maintenance of NAS weather and flight service systems. From 1991 to 1999 was the supervisor of the FAA's acquisition services weather and flight service systems sections responsible for the solution implementation test and evaluation of NAS subsystems. From 1989 to 1991 senior electronics engineer responsible for the test and evaluation of NAS maintenance automation subsystems. From 1986-1989 and from 1980-1983 served as an electronics engineer for the Department of the Navy responsible for the research, development, test, and evaluation of shipboard navigation and power systems. From 1983 to 1986 served as an electronics engineer responsible for the design, test, evaluation, and installation of instrument monitoring systems for nuclear power plants for the Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation. He currently resides in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, is married to Patty Greco, has a son Michael, and enjoys golfing and boating.
