Shelley J. Yak is the Manager of William J. Hughes Technical Center (TC) Operations Division, within the NextGen office of FAA. The responsibilities of the Center Operations organization include providing facility maintenance, engineering support, and support services for all properties located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. Her previous assignments within the FAA includes Division Manager of Information Technology, acting manager responsible for establishing the Service Liaison Office to implement service agreements with all TC resident agencies, acting Manager of the Operational Evolution Partnership (OEP) Planning organization responsible for developing and communicating FAA's plan for achieving the Next Generational Air Transportation System (NextGen), and acting Director responsible for establishing the NextGen Performance and Outreach office for NextGen strategic messaging and performance reporting.
Ms. Yak has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and System Science from Stockton State College and a Masters in Engineering Management from Rowan University. She has received numerous internal and industry leadership and excellence awards throughout her career. She has been employed by the FAA since 1997 and has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology.
She lives in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey with her husband and two sons.
