Bio

Shelley J. Yak is the Manager of William J. Hughes Technical Center Operations Division, within the NextGen organization of the FAA. The responsibilities of the Center Operations organization include providing facility maintenance, engineering support, and support services for all properties located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. Previous assignments within the FAA include Division Manager of Information Technology for 7 years and Acting Director of the Operational Evolution Partnership (OEP) Planning organization responsible for developing and communicating FAA's plan for achieving the Next Generational Air Transportation System (NextGen).

Ms. Yak has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and System Science from Stockton State College and has received numerous internal and industry leadership and excellence awards throughout her career. She has been employed by the FAA for 13 years and has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology.
