The mission of the Strategic Planning and Operations Team is to provide the William J. Hughes Technical Center with a focal point for strategic management and operations in support of its overall mission. This includes strategic analysis and assisting in internal organizational process improvement.
The Strategic Planning and Operations Team is responsible for an iterative strategic management process and concept studies exploration to help meet Next Generation Air Transportation priorities. This includes the integration and communication of the tactical and strategic direction of the William J. Hughes Technical Center.
The test and evaluation (T&E) quality management team also resides in this organization. The team is responsible for the Technical Center's T&E quality management system which includes maintaining foundational processes, conducting internal audits, and providing overarching process training. Several of the T&E projects / activities are ISO (International Organization for Standardization) registered and operate under this quality management system which provides consistent, standardized processes and assures continuous improvement.
