Todd D. Friedenberg serves as the Deputy Regional Administrator for the Federal Aviation Administration's New England Region. The six-state (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT), ten-Tribal Nation region covers 160,000 square miles of airspace, maintains 68 facilities and employs approximately 2,000 employees. As the Deputy Regional Administrator, Todd provides FAA leadership in cross-organizational matters. He also represents the FAA with industry, the public, Native American Tribes and other governmental entities.
Todd joined the FAA in 1982 as an air traffic controller, after having served in the same capacity for the United States Army. He has held positions of increased responsibilities over his career. Todd has previously served as a manager in other FAA New England based-facilities as well: Cape TRACON, Boston TRACON, Martha's Vineyard Airport Traffic Control Tower and Bangor Airport Traffic Control Tower.
Todd, a licensed pilot, is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics.
