Murray Huling will be the Acting Regional Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Western-Pacific Region. His position of record is Manager of the Flight Standards Quality Assurance Division at FAA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
In his new position he will serve as the principal representative of the FAA Administrator and the senior FAA officials in the region. Mr. Huling will provide corporate leadership in cross-organizational matters and represent the FAA with industry, the public and governmental organizations.
Mr. Huling's previous FAA positions are; Manager of the General Aviation Maintenance Branch at FAA Headquarters, an International Air Carrier Aviation Safety Inspector at the Singapore International Field Office, and Aviation Safety Inspector at the Tampa Flight Standards District Office. He has 22 years of government service.
Mr. Huling is a veteran with 10 years of active duty service. He is a private pilot with fixed wing and rotorcraft privileges, holds an airframe and powerplant mechanic certificate, and is also a senior parachute rigger.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management from Park University, and is currently completing graduate work towards a Master's in Business Administration at Webster University. Mr. Huling is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, VA. He and his wife of 29 years, Young, have one adult newlywed daughter and reside in Lorton, Virginia.
