National Park Specific Air Tour Management Plans
Mount Rainier National Park, WA
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Park Service (NPS) are hosting three public meetings to introduce proposed alternatives which will be included in the Environmental Assessment for Mount Rainier National Park. The FAA has published a Federal Register Notice inviting comment from the public, agencies, tribes and other interested parties on the draft alternatives being considered for the development of an Air Tour Management Plan. The Federal Register Notice and NPS press release contain meeting locations, dates, and times.
The ATMP process for this park has just been initiated. This site will be updated as more information becomes available.
Scoping Information for ATMP at Mount Rainier
The original Notice of Intent (NOI) published in the Federal Register on April 2, 2010 (see below) contained an incorrect link to a document on the FAA website. Therefore, the FAA published a Supplemental NOI in the Federal Register on April 12, 2010 (also below) with the correct document link and extended the scoping period to May 12, 2010.
