The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, in partnership with the FAA, co-hosted the annual Pacific Aviation Directors Workshop in Honolulu. The workshop was held from April 13-15, 2010, at the Hilton Waikiki/Prince Kuhio Hotel. This year's theme was "Strengthening Aviation Safety in the Pacific through Planning and Leadership, 2010-2020."
The workshop's geographic area covers Pacific Region airports in the Republic of Palau, the Republic of Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii, and the Northern Mariana Islands. It is widely attended by stakeholders, airline and aviation industry partners, and high level foreign officials, as well as various U.S. government agencies including Department of Interior, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Weather Service, Transportation Security Administration, and FAA.Hotel Information
