INTELSAT 806 / Atlas IIAS
Lockheed Martin Corporation launched an ATLAS IIAS launch vehicle on 27 February 1998 at 23:56 UTC. The ATLAS IIAS was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Station, Florida. The ATLAS IIAS carried the INTELSAT 806 satellite to geostationary transfer orbit. INTELSAT 806 is owned by the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization and is a Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Series 7000 (three axis stabilized, geostationary) satellite. This spacecraft will be deployed at 319.5°E. It has 28 C-band transponders to provide cable TV video downlink services to North America, South America and Europe.
