Direct TV 7S Communications satellite. Direct TV 7S is a three axis, body stabilized 1300 bus, geosynchronous spacecraft manufactured by Space Systems / Loral for Direct TV. Direct TV 7S is designed to operate in geostationary orbit (approximately 29,000 nautical miles) above the equator, providing satellite-based DTH television local broadcast channel service to markets in the United States.
