AMC-16 / Atlas V-521

AMC-16 is a communications satellite built by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems of Newtown, PA. AMC-16 satellite consists of 36 Ku-Band Transponders and 18 Ka-Band Transmitters for communications. AMC-16 provides telecommunications coverage for the Contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Mexico. AMC-16 is owned and will be operated by SES Americom, based in Princeton, NJ. SES Americom is a wholly owned subsidiary of SES Global S.A. headquartered in Luxembourg.
