Flight Plan Filers Guidance for U.S. Domestic Flight Planning
FAA will accept either FAA Form 7233-1, Flight Plan (NAS FP) or FAA Form 7233-4, International Flight Plan.
Domestic Flights that do not desire assignment of RNAV RoutesFAA Form 7233-1 may be filed if assignment of RNAV routes is not desired. Please comply with instructions in FAA Order 7210.3, Part 2, Chapter 6, Section 6, Air Carrier Computer Interface Program.
Domestic Flights that desire assignment of RNAV Routes
FAA Form 7233-4 is now required if assignment of any of the following RNAV routes is desired:
- RNAV Standard Instrument Departure (SID)
- RNAV Standard Terminal Arrival Route (STAR)
