Informal Pacific ATC Coordinating Group (IPACG)

The IPACG provides an opportunity for air traffic service (ATS) providers, airspace operators to informally meet together and explore solutions to near term ATC problems that limit the capacity and/or efficiency within the Anchorage, Oakland, Naha, and Tokyo Oceanic Flight Information Regions (FIRs).

IPACG/31: Oct. 5-9 in Tokyo,Japan

The Thirty-First Meeting of the Informal Pacific Air Traffic Control (ATC) Coordinating Group (IPACG/31) will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from 5-9 October 2009. The JCAB and FAA only IPACG/31 Providers Meeting will be held on 5 October and 9 October; the Eighteenth FANS Interoperability Team (FIT/18) Meeting will be held on 6 October; and the IPACG/31 Plenary Meeting will held 7- 8 October. The Thirtieth Meeting of the Informal Pacific Air Traffic Control (ATC) Coordinating Group (IPACG/30) was held in Seattle, Washington, USA, from 18-22 May 2009. The JCAB and FAA only IPACG/30 Providers Meeting was held on 18 May; the Seventeenth FANS Interoperability Team (FIT/17) Meeting was held on 19 May; and the IPACG/30 Plenary Meeting was held 20- 21 May. IPACG/15

IPACG/15 was held Aug. 2-4, 2000 at the Aviation Building in Tokyo, Japan. The work program for IPACG/15 included:

IPACG/14

IPACG/14 was held Jan. 24-28, 2000, at the Ilikai Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii. The goals and objectives for IPACG/14 were as follows:

• Establishment of FANS Interoperability Team to monitor CPDLC performance
• Reductions in longitudinal separation
• Preparation for new eastbound PACOTS
• Preparation for tracks to serve the air traffic between Hong Kong/Taipei and Los Angeles/San Francisco
• Establish a work plan to develop contingency procedures
