The IPACG provides an opportunity for air traffic service (ATS) providers, airspace operators to informally meet together and explore solutions to near term ATC problems that limit the capacity and/or efficiency within the Anchorage, Oakland, Naha, and Tokyo Oceanic Flight Information Regions (FIRs).

IPACG/28

The Twenty-Eighth Meeting of the Informal Pacific Air Traffic Control (ATC) Coordinating Group (IPACG/28) will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from 12-16 May 2008. The IPACG/28 Providers Meeting will be held on 12 May. The Fifteenth FANS Interoperbilty Team (FIT/15) will be held on 13 May. The IPACG/28 Plenary meeting will be held 14-16 May.

The Twenty-Seventh Meeting of the Informal Pacific Air Traffic Control (ATC) Coordinating Group (IPACG/27) was held in Tokyo, Japan 5-9 November 2007. The IPACG/27 Providers Meeting was held on 5 November.

The Fourteenth FANS Interoperbility Team (FIT/14) met 6 November. The IPACG/27 Plenary meeting met 7-9 November.

IPACG/15 was held 2-4 August 2000 at the Aviation Building in Tokyo, Japan. The work program for IPACG/15 included:

  • Review of the NOPAC route structure
  • Reductions in lateral and longitudinal separation
  • Development of a North/Central Pacific Operations Manual
  • Preparation for tracks to serve the air traffic between Hong Kong/Taipei and Los Angeles/San Francisco
  • Regional communications, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management (CNS/ATM) issues

IPACG/14

IPACG/14 was held 24-28 January 2000 at the Ilikai Hotel in Honolulu, HI. The goals and objectives for IPACG/14 were as follows:

  • Establishment of FANS Interoperability Team to monitor CPDLC performance
  • Reductions in longitudinal separation
  • Preparation for new eastbound PACOTS
  • Preparation for tracks to serve the air traffic between Hong Kong/Taipei and Los Angeles/San Francisco
  • Establish a work plan to develop contingency procedures
