Anchorage Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON)

Provides air traffic control service to aircraft within a 35 nautical mile radius of the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport from the surface up to and including Flight Level 200 (roughly 20,000' mean sea level). This includes air carrier, air taxi general aviation and military aircraft. Anchorage TRACON services all IFR aircraft and many VFR operating at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Elmendorf AFB, Lake Hood Seaplane Base and Merrill Field as well as roughly 20 uncontrolled airports within the Anchorage area.
Anchorage TRACON is authorized 32 air traffic controllers, plus staff, supervisory and management personnel. Anchorage TRACON handles approximately 328,000 aircraft per year and ranks as the 43rd busiest of 194 TRACON facilities in the United States.
Anchorage Airport Traffic Control Tower (ANC ATCT)

ANC ATCT is a limited radar approach control tower and provides air
traffic control service to aircraft landing and departing Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and Lake Hood Seaplane Base. ANC ATCT also provides services to aircraft operating to and from Campbell Lake and Sand Lake.
ANC ATCT is authorized 28 air traffic controllers, plus supervisory air traffic control personnel. ANC ATCT shares staff and management with Anchorage TRACON. ANC ATCT annually handles 310,000 aircraft per year, ranking the 36th busiest of 484 air traffic control towers in the United States.
Merrill Field Airport Traffic Control Tower (MRI ATCT)

MRI ATCT is a VFR control tower and provides air traffic control service to aircraft landing and departing Merrill Field.
MRI ATCT is authorized 15 air traffic controllers, plus supervisory air traffic control personnel. MRI ATCT annually handles 185,000 aircraft per year, ranking the 99th busiest of 484 air traffic control towers in the United States.
