Voluntary Safety Programs Branch

The branch also monitors the effectiveness of these programs. The branch identifies human factors research requirements and provides oversight of studies and grants for pilot training and human factors research projects. The branch evaluates and makes recommendations on the use of new technologies in pilot training and voluntary safety programs. The branch provides technical assistance to FAA field offices and airlines for implementation and operation of these voluntary safety programs.
