Flight Technologies & Procedures Division-Flight Procedure Standards Branch
The branch provides the essential bridge between new navigation concepts and their realization in the NAS. The branch Flight Systems Laboratory (FSL) team assesses safety of proposed changes to Air Traffic operations within the NAS not covered by current standards. Assessments are based on in-flight testing, flight simulator evaluations, and Airspace Simulation and Analysis for TERPS (ASAT) high-speed computer analysis.
