Light Sport Aviation Branch
The Light Sport Aviation Branch manages and provides oversight of the sport pilot examiner and the light sport aircraft repairman-training programs. The branch also provides subject matter experts for FAA and the aviation industry concerning the sport pilot/light sport aircraft safety initiatives.
We perform the following functions:
- Acceptance of Light Sport Aircraft Repairman courses
- Light Sport Standardization Board
- Oversight of designated Sport Pilot Examiners
- Sport Pilot Examiner Initial Training Seminar
- Sport Pilot Examiner Recurrent Training Program
