Basic E3 is a three day program designed to provide an overview of AVN's work, success, and people. This three day program taps into AVN's expertise in various areas. Presentations have been developed that exhibit the successes that the organization has enjoyed, as well as some of the valuable lessons learned. Examples include: Leadership - "How to Get Things Done in a Challenging Environment," "Maintain Philosophy," "Muddy Boots Leadership"; Communication - "Evolution of the National Flight Procedures 24/7 Notice to Airmen Office," "Speaking with Influence & Motivation", Audit & Evaluation, "ISO/IEP & More"; Finance - "An Orientation to Financial Management", capital investments, political implications, and much more; Teamwork, "The Atlanta Project," "Houston Area Air Traffic System," "Partnership with the Air Force Flight Standards Agency," and "LAIRCM - A Study in Organization Objectives".
The Director's Leadership Series consists of several classes which are taught by the Director of Aviation System Standards, Tom Accardi. The classes include:

Course Description:
The book "Skunk Works" by Ben Rich will be given to each participant at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the course. The participant will be expected to participate in small group discussions in order to promote maximum learning by all class members. The course will include integrated video clips from the History Channel's "Blackbird Stealth" video and "Man, Moment and Machine" in order to facilitate concept understanding. You are not required to read the book. The reading is designed only to enhance your learning experience and is a voluntary activity. |
