The Flight Inspection Services' Environmental Management Policy is:

Flight Inspection Services is a worldwide leader in aviation. Consistent with our mission to develop and certify procedures and systems for the global aviation community, Flight Inspection Services shall minimize environmental impacts of its operations through the design and deployment of an organization-wide environmental management system (EMS) conformant with ISO 14001 by:

• Pollution Prevention to cost effectively reduce waste.
• Integration of environmental management with our mission and other systems.
• Communication of this environmental policy to our employees and all interested external parties.
• Compliance with legal and other requirements to which we subscribe.
• Continual improvement of our environmental management system.

ISO 9001

Flight Inspection Services has two, separate, production systems, each containing an ISO 9001:2008 or AS9110:2009 quality management system:

1. Flight Inspection Services' production system for Instrument Flight Procedures (IFP). "Flight Inspection Services provides our customers safe, timely, and continually improved Instrument Flight Procedures that enable efficient use of the National Airspace System (NAS)."


2. Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Group (AMEG) processes. "We continually improve our processes to provide airworthy, safe and reliable aircraft.

AS9110A Quality Management System for Aviation Maintenance organizations

Aerospace Standard 9110A is part of a suite of standards developed for the Aviation Industry. AS9110A is the sector specific standard for organizations whose primary business is aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services. It is tailored for organizations with National Airworthiness Authority repair station certifications such as 14 CFR part 145.

Like many other sector specific standards AS9110 is built on the core fundamentals of ISO 9001 and adds many other requirements designed to address unique aviation maintenance related activities. An organization that is certified to AS9110A is also certified to ISO 9001.

The aim of the AS9110A standard is to enable subscribing organizations to consistently demonstrate their ability to provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; enhance customer satisfaction through effective application and continual improvement of the quality management system; and assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Some of the Highlights of the AS9110A system are the focus on safety, training, and the use of approved parts.
