Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations, part 35 prescribes airworthiness standards for the issue of type certificates and changes to those certificates for propellers.

Who must comply
Each applicant must show that the propeller concerned meets the applicable requirements of part 35. Each person who applies under Part 21 for such a certificate or change must show compliance with the applicable requirements of this part.

The identification and marking requirements for propellers, propeller blades, and propeller hubs are presented in Part 45, section 45.11(b), and section 45.13.
