Airports Conference

Thanks to all of you who participated in our 26th annual Airports Conference held in Kansas City September 22th and 23rd. With the downturn in the economy and your stretched budgets, I expected to see a significant drop-off in attendance. But we actually had our best turnout ever - 430 attendees and 43 exhibitors. If you missed the conference, you missed the opportunity for find out the latest on airport planning, design and construction, wildlife, approach procedures, survey requirement, 139 issues, rescue and firefighting, airspace, notams, snow and ice control, environmental concerns, current research, compliance and constriction safety. You also missed a great networking opportunity. Hopefully we’ll see you at next year’s conference.

It is not too early to save the date for next year. Our 2010 conference will be September 28th and 29th and will again be at the Westin-Crown Center. We promise to have better weather for golf next year.
