Provides guidance on understanding, identifying, preventing, and mitigating alkali-silica reactivity (ASR) in fresh and hardened Portland cement concrete airfield pavements. Version A deletes Chapter 8 of Appendix 1 to remove all reference to the dilatometer test protocol. The test protocol may be reinstated when fully developed.
