Federal Aid to Airports
Minimum Standards for Commercial Aeronautical Activities
Provides basic information about the FAA's recommendations on commercial minimum standards and related policies. Although minimum standards are optional, the FAA highly recommends their use and implementation as a means to minimize the potential for violations of Federal obligations at federally obligated airports. This AC cancels AC 150/5190-5 (Change 1), Exclusive Rights and Minimum Standards for Commercial Aeronautical Activities, dated June 10, 2002.
Operational Safety on Airports During Construction
Provides guidelines for operational safety on airports during construction. Principal changes include prohibiting construction in safety areas when associated runway or taxiway is open, providing guidance for incorporating safety risk management, and including checklists for writing Construction Safety and Phasing Plans (CSPP) and for daily inspections.
Rapid Construction of Rigid (Portland Cement Concrete) Airfield Pavements
Provides guidance for the planning, coordination, management, design, testing, inspection, and execution of rapid construction of rigid (Portland Cement Concrete) airfield pavements. This AC focuses on rigid airfield pavement construction. The material contained herein also applies to other types of airfield improvements where rapid construction is identified as the preferred construction method.
Reporting Wildlife Aircraft Strikes
Explains the importance of reporting collisions between aircraft and wildlife, more commonly referred to as wildlife strikes. Also examines recent improvements in the FAA's Bird/Other Wildlife Strike Reporting system, how to report a wildlife strike, what happens to the wildlife strike report data, how to access the FAA National Wildlife Aircraft Strike Database, and the FAA’s Feather Identification program.
Runway Length Requirements for Airport Design
Provides design standards and guidelines for determining recommended runway lengths.
Segmented Circle Airport Marker System
Sets forth standards for a system of airport marking consisting of certain pilot aids and traffic control devices.

Contains equipment specifications for light beacons that are used to locate and identify civil airports, military airports, seaplane bases, and heliports.
Specification for Constant Current Regulators and Regulator Monitors
Contains a specification for constant current regulators (CCR) and a monitor for use with airport lighting circuits.
Specification for L-821, Panels for the Control of Airport Lighting
Provides the specified manufacturing requirements for panels used for remote control of airport lighting and auxiliary systems.
Specification for Runway and Taxiway Signs

Standards for Airport Markings
Contains the FAA standards for markings used on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons. This AC cancels the Signs and Marking Supplement (SAMS).

Contains standards for the siting and installation of signs on airport runways and taxiways, including taxiway ending markers, location signs, runway distance remaining signs, mandatory hold signs associated with POFZ and CAT II/III operations, and many others.
Standards for Using Remote Sensing Technologies in Airport Surveys
Provides guidance on the use of remote sensing technologies in the collection of data describing the physical infrastructure of an airport. This version is a substantial rewrite and includes new sections on remote sensing technologies other than aerial imagery (primarily LIDAR) for collecting airport data.
