2007 AIXM 5 User Group Meeting - February 27-March 1, 2007 - Washington D.C.

The 2007 AIXM 5 User Group meeting will bring together AIS providers, industry and researchers to present the latest information about the Aeronautical Information Exchange Model. The three day meeting will cover:

Feb 27-28: User Meeting

• Plenary session of invited speakers including a discussion of the FAA AIS modernization plans.
• Introduction to AIXM 5
• Half-day session on enabling digital NOTAMs ( e.g., xNOTAMS) using the AIXM standards. To include demonstration of the benefits.
• Review of other AIXM 5 technology and discussions with AIS providers about their experiences with AIXM.

March 1: AIXM Technical Training

We will provide a one day technical training class suitable for information technology professionals. The training will cover the AIXM conceptual model and XML encoding. The AIXM team will also share practical experience on implementing AIXM in computer systems.
