Southwest Region Guide to Awards and Recognition

DALLAS/FORT WORTH FEDERAL EXECUTIVE BOARD (FEB) ANNUAL AWARDS

  • The Dallas/Fort Worth FEB conducts an annual Interagency Awards Program.

  • The annual call for nominations is usually in February.

  • The FEB awards ceremony is held in May.

  • All civilian/military Federal employees assigned to agencies who are members of the DFW FEB in the following counties are eligible for nomination: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Somerville, Tarrant, and Wise Counties.

  • FAA field employees in metropolitan areas that have Federal Executive Board organizations (i.e., Houston, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, etc.) should contact their local FEB for information on awards programs.

     

    DFW FEB AWARD Categories are:

    • Outstanding Leadership Award

    • Outstanding Teamwork Award

    • Outstanding Administrative Support Award

    • Outstanding Customer Service Award

    • Outstanding Quality Improvement Award

    • Outstanding Productivity/Process Improvement Award

    • Outstanding Interagency Cooperation Award

    • Outstanding EEO Award

    • Outstanding Community Service Award


    2000 FAA WINNERS ARE:

    Exellence in Public Service Award

    The DFW Federal Executive Board recognized and honored a number of Dallas/Fort Worth Federal employees during their annual Excellence in Public Service Awards Ceremony today. Over 740 Federal employees were nominated in 11 award categories.

    FAA Southwest Region was well represented, and it was not surprising that we came away with top honors in two award categories.

    The Outstanding Team Work Award went to the Information Resource Management Y2K Team. Members of the team are: Mohamad Fakhredine, Rod Horton, Billy Landes, Terry Askew, Sandy Miller, Cindy Harlow, Terry Wadley, Jerry Ramirez, Tammy Harrison, Hub McNett, Ed Roach, and Pat Justice. This team was recognized for their role in leading regional Y2K compliance efforts that reached far beyond the ARC organization.

    The Outstanding Customer Service Award went to Fort Worth Air Route Traffic Control Center employees. Fort Worth ARTCC customer service is synonymous with customer safety, and over the past year Center employees have developed a wide range of customer-focused activities that position the facility as a valued and trusted resource within the aviation community.
