Airport	M	R	A	N	E

The categories of airports are:

M-Major

International airports of entry and departure where all formalities incident to Customs, Immigration, Health and similar procedures are carried out, and which are open to scheduled and nonscheduled flights.

R-Restricted

International airports of entry and departure at which the formalities incident to Customs, Immigration, Health and similar procedures are made available on a restricted basis, to flights with prior approval only.

A-Alternate

International airports specified in the flight plan to which a flight may proceed when it becomes inadvisable to land at the airport of intended landing.

N-Nonscheduled

International airports at which approval may be granted, provided the prescribed prior notice is given, for international nonscheduled flights only; no other form of international operation is permitted.

E-External

International airports of entry and departure for international air traffic located in an administered territory, where all formalities incident to Customs, Immigration, Health and similar procedures are available.

1. All flights into, from or over the territory of Cambodia and landing in such territory shall be carried out in accordance with the valid regulations of Cambodia regarding civil aviation authority. Aircraft landing in or departing from the territory of Cambodia must first land at or finally depart from an international airport.

2. Private and nonscheduled commercial flights should apply for permission to the Royal Cambodian Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 1 copy should be addressed to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Kingdom of Cambodia (CAAKC). 62 Preah Norodom Blvd, Phnom Penm, Cambodia. All requests must include:

a. Name, address, and nationality of owner.

b. Nationality, type and registration marks of aircraft and radio call to be used if any.

c. Name of pilot and names and qualifications of crew members.

d. Purpose of flight.

e. Complete route of flight including intermediate stops from point of origin to final destination.

f. Names and nationalities of passengers.

g. Type and amount of cargo.

3. Additionally, prior permission must be obtained independently from the CAAKC.

3. Corporate Aircraft Constraints

The council of Ministers and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Kingdom of Cambodia must give approval to corporate aircraft.

4. Special Notices

Any person subject to the jurisdiction of the United States or any corporation, partnership, organization or association considering the operation of an aircraft into Cambodia must review current Department of Commerce and Department of State regulations providing guidance relating to trade and other transaction involving Cambodia.
