Aircraft Entry Requirements

Permission

All operators of nonscheduled air services are reminded that no person shall use an aircraft in Swaziland for hire or reward unless he holds a license or permit granted by the Air Transport Licensing Authority or the Director of Civil Aviation. Operators intending to use aircraft for hire or reward should submit their applications to the Director of Civil Aviation who may grant temporary permits. The following procedures should be adhered to:

1. Applications should be made so as to be received at least 24 hours prior to the estimated time of departure of the flight. The 24 hours shall not include Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays.

2. The applications should be addressed to the Director of Civil Aviation, P.O. Box 58, Mbabane, Swaziland (Telegraphic Address: MINWORKS MBABANE; Telex: 2104 WD/AFTN: FDMBYA). All requests must include:

a. Name of operator.

b. Type of aircraft and registration marks.

c. Date and time of arrival and departure from Swaziland.

d. Place(s) of embarkation disembarkation abroad of passengers or cargo.

e. Purpose of flight and number of passengers or nature and amount of cargo.

f. Name and address of charterer.
