------ Record of Decision Approved May 2003 ------

Welcome to the Potomac Consolidated TRACON web site. This web site was created to provide information about the establishment of this new state-of-the-art air traffic control facility. The Potomac Consolidated TRACON Project is composed of two different but very much related parts. Those two elements are physical consolidation first and then airspace changes. On this site you will find information about the new Potomac Consolidated TRACON building and the airspace redesign. The redesign considered aircraft routing and altitude changes in a wide area of about 75 miles around Washington, DC.

The Final EIS on the airspace redesign was released in January 2003 and the Executive Summary can be viewed on this site. The Executive Summary is also available in Adobe Acrobat format (Exec Sum PDF).pdf.gif (604 bytes) Please note that this is a large file. FAA has made a final determination to modify aircraft routes, altitudes and procedures consistent with Alternative 2 in the Final EIS.  The basis of the determination is documented in a Record of Decision pdf.gif (604 bytes) that was approved on May 1, 2003.

If you have specific questions about the project, please call our community involvement line at 800 762-9531 or email 9-AEA-PCT-Comments@faa.gov.

Some documents and maps available on this site are stored in the Adobe PDF format. If you do not have the software required to view PDF files, please download Adobe Reader. Links that require Acrobat will be identified with the pdf.gif (604 bytes) icon.
