Our Research Focus
The Biochemistry Research Team conducts aviation safety research associated with biomedical, pharmacological, and toxicological issues. The team develops analytical methodologies in areas of aviation concern and administers CAMI's quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) programs.

Colloquium Announcement
Postmortem Forensic Toxicology in Aviation

The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) is organizing a colloquium on postmortem forensic toxicology in aviation. The colloquium will be held on April 1-3, 2014 at the FAA's Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This academic research meeting will address various aspects of postmortem aviation toxicology.

The meeting will be a scientific platform for medical examiners, coroners, forensic toxicologists and other professionals, regional flight surgeons, National Transportation Safety Board personnel, and other accident investigation authorities, including FAA's Flight Standards District Offices and FAA's Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention employees.
