Kids have FUN on Jersey Shore

Just 4 Kids Foundatio encourages the development of programs and services that enhance the quality of life for youth throughout the Greater Atlantic City Area.

The organization delivers programs and services that give hope and direction and help build positive character in the community's youth. The Just 4 Kids Foundation brought back "Kids Fun Day" at Atlantic City's famed Steel Pier. This year, twenty-one informational booths were staffed by health and educational organizations on Saturday, September 8. Over 600 youths (ages 4-14) participated in this educational opportunity this year, after which they were allowed to ride the amusements at the Steel Pier for free all day.

The FAA Aviation & Space Education (AVSED) Program participated in this event this year with a very popular learning opportunity for students to build a balsa glider and to learn about airplanes and the many careers paths these youngsters might consider. A big thank you goes out to Mary Lou Dordan, Chinita Roundtree-Coleman, Sandra Harris, and Patricia King for their stamina and dedication to staff the FAA booth for nearly five hours in the intense sunshine and gale winds on the Steel Pier that intensified as the afternoon progressed. The non-stop stream of youngsters kept everyone busy from morning to afternoon with no breaks, but we all left the Steel Pier that day with a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
