Our Research Focus
Brings to research the best tools to manage and understand biological data of importance in aviation and space medicine. Bioinformatics is the science of using information to understand biology and applies computational and analytical methods to solve biological problems.

The Bioinformatics tool chest includes computational biology, modeling, imaging and data visualization, relational databases and data warehousing, data mining and computer science, all working alongside with biotechnology such as genomics, proteomics and the Internet to create a research environment to allow a functional understanding of the human genome and examine the impact of various aviation and space influences. This will lead to enhanced opportunities to develop new individualized countermeasures and therapies.
