Zip File Format

There are several programs available to open ZIP files. FAA does not necessarily endorse any of the vendors listed below.

Windows Users

Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 have the capability of opening ZIP files without requiring the installation of any additional software. Simply double-click on the file and another window will open showing the contents of the ZIP file. The contents may then be dragged and dropped to extract or double-clicked to run.

7-Zip

7-Zip is free program available to users of all versions of Windows.

WinZip

WinZip is a shareware program available to users of all versions of Windows.

Mac Users

StuffIt Expander

StuffIt Expander is a free program available to users of Mac OSX.
