He suggests there are five required elements to produce a high level of performance: A clear and compelling purpose, clear goals, a common working approach, mutual accountability, diverse but complimentary skills, and finally a team can only operate at their best if a team is required to accomplish the task. He then suggests leaders determine what types of teams are needed to accomplish the goal.
