Aviation Fatigue Management Symposium: Partnerships for Solutions

We will accomplish these objectives with keynote talks, discussion panels (joint and operations specific), and discussion group sessions. The symposium will conclude with reports from each group that will summarize discussions and highlight "Best Practices" of fatigue mitigation and management initiatives.

The symposium will address flight operations (pilots and flight attendants) and shift work operations (Air Traffic Control, maintenance, ramp operations, and dispatch). Participants will include representatives from:

• U.S. and international air carriers,
• Unions,
• Aviation associations,
• Aircraft manufacturers,
• Expert international scientists,
• FAA, National Transportation Safety Board, National Aeronautics and Space Administration,
• Department of Defense, Flight Safety Foundation and other organizations.
