Global Safety Management: Evolution or Revolution?

June 3-5, 2008
St. Petersburg, Florida
USA

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) cooperate to improve aviation safety and to facilitate, when appropriate, reciprocal acceptance of certificates/approvals by, whenever possible, harmonizing standards and implementing guidance. In this context, the U.S./Europe International Aviation Safety Conference provided a forum for open discussion with other civil aviation authorities and industry representatives on current initiatives and strategic directions. This conference also served as a forum for interested parties to participate in harmonization and safety enhancement activities and to present initiatives of their own to the global community.

For information about the conference topics and presentations, see the conference agenda (PDF).
