FAA Safety Forums on Airline Safety and Pilot Training
One-day forums in 12 cities, July 21-August 27, 2009
On June 15, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) hosted a "Call to Action" for the industry and FAA to jointly identify a few key initiatives regarding pilot training, cockpit discipline and other areas that can be voluntarily incorporated by operators.
We'd like your input and to share the ideas developed at these Safety Forums. Following are instructions to register for a feedback site. The site will also post notes from each FAA Safety Forum as it is held.
- 14 CFR Part 121 air carrier chief pilots, directors of operation, directors of safety; directors of operation, and chief pilots for part 135 air carriers with approved training programs
- Union representatives
- FAA principal operations inspectors
