This premier event is scheduled to take place from March 29 - April 2, 2010. It's expected to attract over 1000 attendees to include senior executives, chief information officers, information systems security managers and IT/ISS personnel from FAA, the Department of Transportation (DOT) and other federal and international departments, agencies, and organizations. The conference offers IT/ISS training, business networking opportunities, and access to numerous industry exhibitors displaying the latest technological advancements.
- Training — The Federal Information System Management Act of 2002 (FISMA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication [SP] 800-16, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Regulation 5 CFR Part 930, and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-130, Appendix III, requires all personnel with significant information security responsibilities to receive annual information security specialized training. Attendance and participation in the training offered at the FAA IT/ISS Partnership and Training Conference (general sessions, information sessions, and workshops) satisfies the FISMA information systems security specialized training requirement.
- Business Networking — The conference offers a wide variety of business networking opportunities among DOT and FAA IT/ISS specialists. This conference encourages DOT and FAA IT/ISS managers and decision makers to meet one-on-one to discuss critical issues within their organizations.
- Exhibitors — The conference offers industry partners the ability to display and showcase their cutting-edge technology to DOT and FAA personnel. Through this conference, the IT/ISS industry is able to meet with key personnel, managers and decision makers to discuss IT/ISS strategies and the latest trends in the area of information technology and information systems security.
This conference is by invitation only. Each line of business/staff office Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) will send out invitations beginning November 2009.
