Singapore Air Show and Summit
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration plans to participate in the Singapore Airshow and Aviation Leadership Summit 2010.
The Singapore Airshow is the world's third largest and Asia's largest aerospace and defense event (behind Farnborough and Paris) bringing together major aerospace and defense companies, airlines, and other key players from the global aviation and defense communities. At the 2008 Airshow, there were around 800 exhibiting companies from 48 countries in addition to over 43,000 trade attendees from 112 countries.
The Aviation Leadership Summit is held in conjunction with the Singapore Airshow. It is jointly organized by the Singapore Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The Aviation Leadership Summit is a unique platform for government-industry dialogue to address challenges, harness opportunities in the aviation sector, and discuss the necessary strategic policies. Participants include Ministers governing civil aviation, Director Generals of Civil Aviation, and Chief Executives of airlines and other key aviation industry players. The President of the ICAO Council, Mr. Roberto Kobeh Gonzalez, will be delivering the keynote address.
This edition of the Airshow will also feature a "Green" Pavilion, reflecting the aviation industry's commitment to tackle the challenges of climate change. The Airshow will also feature the inaugural series of business forums aimed at providing insights into business opportunities in the key markets of China, India, and the Middle East.
January 31 - February 7, 2010.
