Sieg Named Deputy Director at FAA’s Aeronautical Center

OKLAHOMA CITY – Stan Sieg, an FAA employee and a retired Air Force general, has been named deputy director of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. He replaces Richard Rodine, who retired on January 3.

Sieg had been program director for the FAA Logistics Center, part of the Aeronautical Center.

“During his four years here, Stan has played key roles in providing innovative and cost effective support to the FAA. He possesses a keen appreciation of the strategic challenges and opportunities facing our agency.” said Lindy Ritz, Center director, who made the announcement.

Sieg, a Norman resident, has managed the logistics part of the Aeronautical Center since August 2004. Before coming to the FAA, he was an Air Force brigadier general. He has more than 30 years experience in acquisition, supply chain management, information technology, program management, financial management, and maintenance.

The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center was founded in 1946 on Will Rogers World Airport. It is a major organizational complex for the FAA, employing about 5,000 government and contract employees and the largest concentration of U.S. Department of Transportation employees outside Washington, D.C. In addition to training, logistics, and research, the Center has a number of other aviation safety-related and business support products and services.
