FORT WORTH, Texas — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is hosting the Fourth West Coast Small Business Conference, April 30 – May 2, at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth. The forum provides small businesses knowledge on how to contract with the FAA and other federal agencies, and gives valuable information on federal procurement opportunities.
The FAA is aggressively supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation's outreach to the nation's small businesses by conducting more than 20 outreach panel sessions and workshops during the conference. Sessions will address business issues and concerns, and provide information to help increase small business opportunities with the FAA and other participating agencies.
Small businesses may also highlight their own capabilities through one-on-one sessions with federal agency representatives, and by exhibiting during the event. Companies with major government contracts will also be on hand to provide subcontracting opportunity information.
FAA acquisition representatives from all of FAA's regions, including two FAA centers and FAA headquarters, will also be available. FAA's Southwest Region, host of the event, has facilities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana and Texas.
Supporting this event are the U.S. Small Business Administration, the General Services Administration, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Other invited agencies include the Federal Railroad Administration, Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration and the National Highway Traffic Safety.
