FORT WORTH — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is preparing an environmental impact statement for proposed improvements to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and has developed an Internet web site for the public's review as it progresses.
The airport is planning a new air carrier runway and conversion of an existing taxiway to a runway for use by general aviation aircraft. The impact statement study began with meetings in Kenner, St. Charles Parish and New Orleans. The next public meetings are scheduled for April.
