WHO: Presented by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Southwest Region, DFW International Airport, Vintage Flying Museum, Civil Air Patrol, and Tarrant County College (TCC), Northwest Campus.
WHAT: Aerospace Workshop for Teachers celebrating the 100th anniversary of flight. This workshop highlights the past 100 years of aviation, starting with the Wright Brothers flight in 1903. On Tuesday and Thursday, June 24 and 26, presenters will engage the teachers with a variety of hands-on aerospace activities designed to motivate students' interest in math and science. The workshop is based in the Optimum Room at TCC’s NW Campus. On Wednesday, June 25, the group will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of DFW airport and on Friday morning, June 27, each teacher will receive a flight orientation ride at the Vintage Flying Museum on Meacham Airport.
