New Website Improvements Announced for FAA.govJune 10 — Today we've launched the June 2009 round of enhancements to the FAA.gov public website. The latest set of enhancements follow the successful Web improvements launched in January and March and are part of the ongoing Web Improvement Program for FAA.gov.

Supported by website usage data and extensive customer research, these enhancements further optimize your experience on FAA.gov. The June 2009 enhancements continue our commitment to make your experience on FAA.gov successful, enjoyable, and exceptional.

Below, you'll find a brief description of each of the latest enhancements visible on FAA.gov:

Safety & EfficiencyEnhanced Safety & Efficiency content — Safety and efficiency are at the center of what FAA does, and we've dedicated a What We Do promotional area on the home page to highlight this message. You'll also find a new "Safety & Efficiency" page on FAA.gov that provides more insight into how these concepts factor into FAA's mission, vision, and values.

Advisory Circulars New Advisory Circular search — You'll find a completely new search interface that allows you to find Advisory Circulars by number, title, description, office, and document content. In addition, you can click the magnifying glass icon beside "Advisory Circulars" to access an interactive lookup directly from the home page. A new "auto-complete" function added to AC search will display a list of matching terms as soon as you start typing.

Orders & Notices Improved Orders & Notices search — We've added full document search functionality for orders and notices so you can find orders and notices searching on actual document content. Additionally, auto-complete functionality will make search smarter by suggesting terms for you once you start typing.

N-Number lookupElevated N-Number lookup from home page — Website usage data has shown that looking up N-Numbers is one of the most popular tasks on FAA.gov. To make this task easier, you can now type an N-Number query directly into an input field on the home page.

exit pageImproved "You are about to leave FAA.gov" experience — To alert you when you are about to leave FAA.gov, we've implemented an easily identifiable, consistent indicator and new website exit page that makes the experience seamless.

It is our continuing goal to make your experience on FAA.gov exceptional. While we recognize that this cannot be accomplished with a single enhancement, we are committed to continuously improving FAA.gov with you in mind.
