Aerospace Medical Certification Subsystem (AMCS) Online Support
Version 2 System Requirements
The Internet-based system requirements accommodate any computer system, regardless of
operating system and/or platform, as long as it is capable of supporting:
- An Internet Protocol (IP) dial-up or local area network connection
- An Internet Service Provider (ISP) to provide the IP dial-up or network connection
- A screen resolution of 800 x 600 or greater
- Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer� V. 5.5, or Netscape Navigator�, V.6. This software is free and can be obtained by downloading from the manufacturer�s Web site.
Alternatively, you can obtain the needed browser software by ordering it on a CD (for a nominal handling and shipping fee) from either manufacturer.
When considering a new computer system or upgrade, we recommend that,
for maximum performance, you consider the latest computer industry
standards and models. Testing of AMCS v2 has shown that productivity is
maximized when using either Microsoft Internet Explorer� (version 5.5 or
higher) or Netscape Navigator� (version 6 or higher) running under
Windows 98/NT/2000/XP.
Recommended AMCS System Requirements:
- Pentium III processor or faster
- Windows 2000, ME, or NT operating system
- 128 megabytes of RAM or greater
- 56K baud modem or better (cable modem, ISDN, T-1, T-3, etc)
Minimum AMCS System Requirements (listed system components will work
satisfactorily but may produce considerably slower than desired performance):
- 486/66 MHz processor or higher
- Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0 with the high encryption version of Service Pack 6a and higher, 2000, or XP operating system
