Who should be contacted to obtain more information about becoming an AME?
First contact should be with the FAA Regional Flight Surgeon's Office in the area of the country where the AME applicant practices medicine. Select FAA Regions and Regional Office Address to obtain a complete list of states, regions, telephone numbers, and mailing addresses, as well as the names of current regional flight surgeons.
