Electrical:
The Recurrent CBT for Electrical DERs and ODA UMs is available for registration through the Designee Registration System. This curriculum will be available through December 31, 2015. To obtain your Certificate of Completion you must complete each topic with a score of 70% or higher to receive credit. The Electrical Systems courses are as follows:

  • FAA27200105 Electrical: Aircraft Systems Cyber Security Awareness Orientation
  • FAA27200106 Electrical: Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Policy Overview
  • FAA27200107 Electrical: Legacy System Software and Tool Qualification

Structures, Powerplant, and Mechanical Systems:
These curriculums expired 12/31/2014 and are no longer available for enrollment. They are currently under development and will be replaced by a new set of topics. We expect to release the new courses sometime in the second quarter of 2015.

DER & ODA Training

Engineering Designee Initial Training (Online)
The DER Initial Training package consists of three courses that all must be successfully completed to obtain a certificate of completion for the DER Initial training. The package includes:

  • AIR Indoctrination for FAA Engineering Designee Applicants
  • Becoming A Designated Engineering Representation
  • Roles and Responsibilities for AIR Engineering Designees

Online ODA Engineering Initial Training
The ODA Engineering Initial Training package consists of two courses that both must be successfully completed to obtain a certificate of completion for the ODA Engineering Initial training. The package includes:

  • AIR Indoctrination for FAA Engineering Designee Applicants
  • Roles and Responsibilities for AIR Engineering Designees

Online Repairs and Alterations Information for AIR Engineering Designees (27200027)
This course is intended for DERs and DER applicants seeking appointment of a special delegation for Major Repairs and/or Major Alterations, as well as for ODA Unit Members seeking authority for Major Repairs and/or Major Alterations within the ODA.

ODA Applicant Training, Part I (Online)
This course is intended for individuals who hold, or will hold the position of administrator for a company or organization that holds an Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), or who have applied to the FAA for an ODA

ODA, Part II: Major Repairs, Major Alterations and Airworthiness (MRA) (Online)
This training is intended for administrators of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holders with Major Repair, Alteration, and Airworthiness (MRA) functions. ODA Applicant Training Part I is a pre-requisite for this course.

ODA, Part II: Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) (Online)
This training is intended for administrators of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holders with Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) functions. ODA Applicant Training Part I is a pre-requisite for this course.

ODA, Part II: Production Certification (PC) (Online)
This training is intended for administrators of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holders with Production Certification (PC) functions.

ODA, Part II: Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) (Online)
This training is intended for administrators of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holders with Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) functions.

ODA, Part II: Technical Standard Order Authorization (TSOA) (Online)
This training is intended for administrators of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holders with Technical Standard Order Authorization (TSOA) functions.

ODA, Part II: Type Certification (TC) (Online)
This training is intended for administrators of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) holders with Type Certification (TC) functions.

Flight Test:
Beginning in 2013 Powerplant will no longer be included as an 'in person' seminar. The Recurrent CBT for Flight Test DERs and ODA UMs is available for registration through the Designee Registration System. This curriculum will be available through December 31, 2014. The Acoustics Session will continue to be offered as an 'in person' seminar. It is offered in Los Angeles on even numbered years, i.e., 2014, 2016, in September.

Software Session:
The Software Session is offered through AIR-120. Information for this course can be on found on the Aircraft Certification Software website.
