 | Our "major" Hot Spot and I mean major, is at TXY B and Runway 36, when RWY 36 is in use. The runway is at a complex intersection: Runway 5/23, approach end of Runway 36 and TXY B. Runway 36 is just East of the ramp on Txy B and planes have tendency to taxi past the runway on Bravo. Also, there is no sign for runway 18 on taxiway Delta for the GA pilots out of the ramp. Taxiway Delta is the first taxiway out of the ramp and is the parallel taxiway to runway 18. Alot of pilots have actually taxied onto runway 18 at the depature end thinking they were on the taxiway for runway 18. |
 | Control Tower is manned from 0600L to 2100L 7 days a week. When Tower is closed use common traffic advisory freq. 119.8. To obtain a clearance or close a flight plan after tower hours, call Columbia (COU) FSS on 122.6. |
